Bus service cut complaints grow

By Ellen Grindley in Transport

COMPLAINTS are continuing to flood in following cuts to a Stagecoach bus route from Dawlish to Exeter.

Residents in villages along the A379 have been deluging the bus company after serious hold-ups for commuters.

Reports have come in of some passengers waiting an hour for the Number 2 service to arrive in Exminster.

Delays have led to repeated calls for the service to go back to the three buses an hour at peak times instead of two an hour which was introduced in January.

Read the story in this week’s paper, out now.

it seems ridiculous that the Number 2 Bus has been reduced to two an hour, going from Newton Abbot to Exeter when we are trying to bring down traffic congestion,(when encouraging people to use public transport) . We have found this route is no longer reliable on times .
