STUDENTS at Dawlish Community College are preparing for their annual 24-hour music marathon.

This year’s event, which takes place today through to tomorrow, will be raising money for local charity The Snooky Trust.

The theme for the concert, which kicks off at 1.30pm today, will be films and performers will be dressed as movie icons.

Audience members can dress up too to get into the spirit of the occasion.

A timetable of dance, music, DJ and drama is planned throughout the 24 hours with a rousing finale from the choir at 1pm on Saturday.

Caz Steffens, who started The Snooky Trust, said: ‘I am so grateful to all of the students taking part for their massive efforts to raise funds for the charity.’

Tickets are available from the college.
