Civic leaders drop in for print viewing

By Contributed in Local People

LAST week was a busy one for Dawlish and Teignmouth Camera Club.

Dave Hutton and Alison Crowter had organised a display with all members assisting. The result was an exhibition of their work at the TAAG centre, Teignmouth.

Members took turns to sit in at the gallery and greet the many visitors, offering advice on all aspects of photography and information about the club.

Approximately 80 prints were on display, and were hugely admired and appreciated by all who came to view.

On Wednesday evening guests were invited to share a glass of wine and nibbles, while talking to members and admiring the works.

The chairman of Teignbridge Council, Cllr Graham Price, gave a short introduction and was joined by the mayor of Teignmouth Cllr Terry Falcao and Tracy Scranage, Teignmouth and Dawlish town centres development manager, as well as many friends and family of club members.

The evening was a huge success, enjoyed by all.

The club, which meets on Wednesdays at Holcombe village hall, always welcomes new members.
