Rail chief pays visit

NETWORK Rail chief Mark Carne paid a visit to Dawlish to see for himself plans to make the iconic coastal rail route more resilient.

His trip to the resort, accompanied by MP Anne Marie Morris, was to give him a clear idea of the £650 million plans to protect the line through Dawlish.
