STAFF and volunteers from Assist Teignbridge attended an annual ‘thank you’ buffet at the Manor House.
Charity manager Shirley Fewings said that more than 6,000 hours of local community support are given each year by volunteers who help isolated and lonely older people through a range of services including befriending, enabling, gardening and more.
The annual event is a time when the charity can thank everyone for all they do to support vulnerable older people in the local community.
It is also an opportunity to recognise special contributions made by individual volunteers, and this year a certificate of appreciation was presented to volunteer, Jo Roveri, pictured with chairman Robin Buchanan.
