BUDDING photographers are being invited to take part in a competition as part of this year’s Dawlish Arts Festival.
On the subject of the Best of Dawlish, the winning photographer will collect £50 and the picture will be published in a 2018 Dawlish calendar.
Organiser Joanne Bickle said: ‘It will be really interesting to see all the different things that people identify as “The Best of Dawlish” and the judging will be based as much on interpretation as well as technical ability.
‘We are very lucky to have an award-winning, international photographer Teri Pengilley as our judge but we also hope to forge links with local photographers.’
The competition has three categories: children aged up to 11 years inclusive, young people aged 12 to 16 years inclusive, adults 17 years and above.
Each category will receive £50 for the first prize and three £10 runner-up prizes.
Twelve images will be chosen to form a 2018 Dawlish Arts Festival Calendar.
The closing date for entries is May 8, 2017.
Go to the Dawlish Arts Festival website at www.dawlishartsfestival.org.uk or Facebook page for the rules and entry form.
