John Southall writes: A delve back to 1924 to find this week’s photo from the Bernard Chapman Collection.
1924 was a good year for Dawlish bowlers who won the Devon County Trophy no less.
It is almost impossible to identify the actual location of this photo but, may be looking towards the club house from The Lawn.
No more notes are available but looking at the collection photo I see the gentleman who always reminds me of cricketer David Gower is on the back row, fourth from the left.
Interestingly the gentleman on the front row, fourth from the left, is holding an accurate miniature replica of the real trophy.
I wonder if it is still in existance, if so where is it and can we have a photo please?
