Wooden Spoon for Pete and pal

By dawlishnewspapers.co.uk in Local People

TWO rugby fans are taking to two wheels to raise money for charity.

Pete Cross, from Dawlish, pictured, better known as Mr England the official England rugby team mascot, and long-time pal Pete Cockram who works at HS Hire in Teignmouth, will be tackling a 100-mile course.

They are taking part in the Prudential Ride London charity event which is raising money for Wooden Spoon, the children’s charity of rugby.

This will take place along the same course ridden by Team GB cyclists Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish at the London 2012 Olympics.

The two Petes have been long-time supporters of rugby and keen cyclists as well as being avid supporters of the Wooden Spoon charity.

It is a rugby-based national charity which supports mentally, physically disabled and socially disadvantaged children and young people.

Donations can be made on their Just Giving page at www.justgiving.com/
